I have to “encourage” my husband to eat fresh fruit. However, this cream cheese fruit dip suddenly transforms what he views as a chore into a treat. Before he realizes it, he has eaten a whole apple or cantaloupe wedge!
The original version of this dip was on an index card that was given out at home sales parties to encourage guests to buy the featured product. I reduced the calories by using light cream cheese. I also like to use my homemade freezer jam but store-bought jam or preserves will work just as well. I recommend using an electric mixer to beat the ingredients for a smoother dip.
- 1 8-ounce and one 3-ounce package of light cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam or preserves
- 1/4 cup milk
- Fruit for dipping
- In small mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese, jam or preserves and the milk.
- Serve with fruit.
- I recommend using an electric mixer to beat the ingredients for a smoother dip.
