In the movie Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Colin Firth’s character reminds a group of bullies of the 15th-century adage, “Manners maketh man” (alas, his lesson involves a bit of violence). Simply put, etiquette and good manners are the proper way to behave. They are the finishing touches to a person’s personality and behavior. It can mean the difference between success and failure in most aspects of your life.
Contrary to popular belief that it consists of a set of rules for the stuffy and wealthy, etiquette breaks down barriers due to its focus on respect, kindness, consideration, common courtesy, and good citizenship. Etiquette also helps give a good first impression and leaves others with the impression that you are more capable, professional, and intelligent.
