Skirt Pattern Review: Jalie 2560

I am wearing a new black skirt today out of a poly “linen look” that I bought last month when I started sewing again. I started it two weeks ago, but didn’t get to finish it until last night.

This is the first time I’ve made anything by Jalie. I found the pattern on Pattern Review and thought I’d give it a try since I had “outgrown” my tried and true skirt pattern.

This is a good, basic, “quick and dirty” pattern. It is not lined. I finished all of my seams with zig-zag. After I figured out the instructions–they are in both English and French right next to each other–this dress really only took a couple of hours total from start to finish.

I made the short version but had to shorten it.

When I make it again, I will probably add a lining to it because it won’t be that hard to do and I prefer lined skirts.

  1. Julie-Ann,
I’d love to see a pic of your skirt. Congrats on finishing it!

  2. Hi Jennie,
I plan on having My Honey take a photo of me modeling it tonight. I didn’t give him a chance since I finished it last night while he was at work and I was in bed by the time he got home.
